In 2023, Our Solid Roots Association had the opportunity to work with the Indigenous community of Eden Valley, capturing the Old Stoney language through Elders and Knowledge Keepers. The Creation Story details the Stoney peoples version of creation in a charming storybook, written in Old Stoney and translated to English. The book launch was celebrated through an event with food, prizes, and community. Our Solid Roots Association recognizes the importance of preserving language, culture, and history, and was honoured to be a part of this project of healing and resilience.
