Job Description:

We are looking for experienced bookkeeper with the following skills:
1. Maintaining financial records
2. Producing financial statements
3. Monitoring transactions and identifying irregularities
4. Posting transactions to accounts
5. Generating invoices and receipts
6. Preparing and lodging business activity statements (BAS)
7. Recording daily financial transactions
8. Updating a general ledger
9. Preparing trial balances
10. Maintaining and filing requisite documents for taxation compliance
11. Monitoring cash flow
12. Producing financial reports to assist managers in decision-making
13. Recording both expenditures and income
14. Organizing and recording all receipts, bills, invoices, and other financial transactions
15. Making telephone calls to clients or vendors as needed and/or assigned.
You must be:
a) Able to work flexible hours as needed,
b) Work with different projects within the organization
c) Self motivated
d) Computer and bookkeeping software proficiency/literacy
e) Proficiency in time management
f) Honest and reliable
g) Able to advise and/or educate our team as needed
h) Able to work with the organization’s accountants, auditors and other bodies as needed
i) Able to maintain confidentiality and privacy of the organization’s records
Experience:
1. 5 years and above in bookkeeping
2. Working with big companies will be an asset
3. Working with not-for-profit will be an added asset
4. Knowledge of bookkeeping platforms will be required
5. Ability to work independently is highly recommended
6. Above average Microsoft skills will be required
Availability:
a) Be able to work remotely and in-person as needed
b) Have access to working and reliable high-speed computer or laptop
c) Have reliable internet
